Heading east on the Garden Route we will introduce you to one of the most notorious surfing spots in South Africa, Victoria Bay. Your learn-to-surf journey will continue where a lot of Springbok surfers started (Springbok = South African National Colors). This right-hand point break has produced multiple pro surfers as well as the silver medalist in the Olympics, Bianca Buitendagh. Next to Victoria bay is the Garden Route’s adventure hotspot, Wilderness. Take it slow through the milkwood village market, fly high and paraglide over sub tropical paradise or book a kayak excursion and go chase waterfalls on the river that runs through the Ebb and Flow, part of the Garden Route National Park. Keeping an eye on conditions we will also go surfing at the incredible Wilderness Beach followed by a sunset dinner. After dinner it is time for your surf analysis. Back at our accommodation we will go through the surf content from the past few days.

Known as the “Slow Town” of South Africa we couldn’t help to pick this day for you to take it easy. You’ll have some free time in the morning and we’ll adapt the program to your needs. There is a lot to explore in this area. Go hiking in the Garden Route National Park, stand up paddle boarding at the Sedgefield lagoon mouth, have a drink at Pili-Pili Restaurant or walk to Gerickes Point for a snorkelling session via Swartvlei Beach. If the weather permits we’ll end the day with cocktails and canapes at sunset.

We’ll slip into the rich surf culture of this town and continue our surf journey in easy and accessible waves. Situated on the outskirts of Plett, ON the border of the Western and Eastern Cape, stop in at the world’s highest bridge bungee jump. You’ll have the opportunity to leap into the abyss of adrenaline, have a coffee with a view or pick up an African souvenir at the market. Get rid of the adrenaline or make use of the caffeine with a hike at the breathtaking Robberg Nature Reserve.

Today we say goodbye to the Garden Route and start our relaxed journey in the direction of Cape Town. We make our first stop for a thrilling 3-hour safari at Botlierskop Private Game Reserve. This reserve is host to some of our favourite Lion King stars including cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions and wildebeest.
After the safari, we’ll go straddle the southernmost point of Africa at L’Agulhas, and behold the meeting point of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Neighbouring Struis Bay has the longest uninterrupted white sand beach in the southern hemisphere and we will conduct a surfing lesson in this unique location. After travelling down south we will spend the night in the Cape Agulhas area.

Wake up with the waves and enjoy a morning surf in Struis Bay before we head out towards Cape Town. Our agenda for this day - stop in Hermanus, visit the African Penguin colony at Betty’s Bay and drive the scenic Clarence Drive along False Bay to Cape Town.
While you enjoy the views we’ll keep our eye on the time and aim to catch a surf at iconic Muizenberg Beach before the last light.

With the end of your Surf Adventure in sight we’ll take you up to the top of one of the 7th wonders of the world, Table Mountain. This is not “goodbye”, this is “see you later”. Your surf experience with us has come to an end, but don’t be surprised if you experience “mal d’Africa” *. Being in the tourism industry for a while now we have seen many of our guests return to South Africa. Maybe it’s something in the water, maybe it’s the sunset euphoria, maybe the diverse culture or maybe the fauna and flora - nobody knows, but it is deep-rooted. All we know is if you don’t extend your stay, you should come and say “hi” when you find yourself in South Africa again.
For now - Hamba kakuhle
